Wayne Tworetzky

Dr. Wayne Tworetzky is the Director of the Fetal Cardiology Program at Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School and an Attending/Consultant in the Department of Cardiology. He attended medical school at Stellenbosch University, Cape Town South Africa, worked there as well as in the UK as a senior house officer and then completed his pediatric and pediatric cardiology training at the University of California, San Francisco. He has worked at Boston Children’s Hospital since 1999. His clinical and research interests are in pediatric and fetal echocardiography as well as fetal cardiac intervention and other novel fetal cardiac therapies. His research has ranged from nitric oxide and pulmonary hypertension to surgical outcomes for congenital heart disease as well as leading and participating in multi-center studies. He has a special research and clinical interest in fetal and neonatal Ebstein anomaly as well as fetal aortic stenosis and borderline left hearts.
